You can choose different plans based on what suits you and there are factors to consider like: your travel location, your medical record, and trip length. The expense is also usually not in proportion with what you recieve when an unforeseen circumstance happens. 

Myth 3: Travel insurance is only for International Trips.
Fact: Local/domestic flights also benefit from travel insurance and they can also be affected by circumstances beyond your control. Your insurance plan will serve as a cushion for you in this case. 

Myth 4: Travel Insurance will cover all Flight delays.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Fact: This is not in all cases, travel insurance may cover half or limited expenses in flight delay or cancellation. There may be certain conditions your situation has to meet for you to receive reimbursement. So, depending on the insurance policy, or circumstances of your flight delay, you may get all of part of your reimbursement and benefit.    

Myth 5: I don’t need travel insurance.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Fact: You need travel insurance for many unsuspected challenges that are never planned. These emergency needs may be extremely expensive and affect your trip if there is no adequate coverage from an insurance company. It may seem to you like an extra expense, but it becomes a necessary one when situations that warrants it occur.

Travel Insurance is a good way to go, however there are more realities to it than hearsay. These misconceptions when confirmed helps you make good decision on getting your own insurance and enjoying your travels.
