The choice of location: Depending on where you choose to go, you may need to spend a lot or less amount of money. Some locations are luxurious and require you to have a lot of money. If you’re on a budget, look at locations that will suit your funds.

Research on the cost of accommodation, ticket fees, and the prices of everything you need to do – compare this by each location you can visit, then decide the one that favors you more.

Do not forget that you’d need an extra amount for emergency or unforeseen circumstances that may come up during your journey/planning. (We don’t want to be stranded.

Schedule your travel to times where you can save on the high cost that comes with the inflow of people.

The airline you use: Some airlines are more expensive than the other. Look for safe and affordable flights. Another tip is to book your flight ahead to save cost or book a two way ticket.

Engage in free activities: Choose more outdoor activities that won’t require that you spend too much like parks that don’t require entry fee, nightlife and street food that you can save cost on.

Look out for free events, hiking trips, museum visits that you can enjoy. This can be found on blogs, social media page of events in that location.

Take advantage of it to explore that location while doing your work. Take a few hours to enjoy the scenery and explore the nature in that environment if you can.

Eat with the locals: Restaurants made for tourists are usually more high-end than the street food and if the dishes do not suit your palate. Visit the local market where you can get more options to make something for yourself.

Choose location in your country: There are loads of places you’re yet to explore in your country or city. Try to figure out hidden gems that you can visit on a budget. Planning your trip to places like this requires less as you already understand the nuances of your location.
